China buys Greece

China is set to invest billions in debt-stricken Greece. Since Greece is a member of the European Union, this will allow China to insert a Trojan Horse into Europe's economy.

Cosco, the Chinese shipping giant, last year signed a 35-year lease with Greece to expand the two main container terminals at the main Greek port of Piraeus; it assumed full control of the major container dock last week.

Greek shipping companies and Cosco have contracted for the construction of seven dry bulk cargo ships, with options for four more, and the chartering of another five.

Wei Jiafu, Cosco chief executive, said "We have a saying in China, 'construct the eagle's nest and the eagle himself will come.' We have constructed such a nest in [Greece] to attract such Chinese eagles."

People tend to forget that the eagle is a bird of prey and is often seen eating other birds.

Chinese companies have shown interest in the privatisation of Greece's heavily indebted railway OSE. This will enable China to bring in massive amounts of goods and transport them to all parts of Europe.

The debt crisis, strikes, and firebombs have caused a precipitous decline in Greece's tourism business. "The large hotels are squeezing us out of the market with their price war," said Panayiotis Tokouzis, the head of the Faliraki tourism association, noting that one guesthouse was offering rooms for 15 euros, or about $18. His own 12-apartment complex is vacant.

This will be the legacy of Wall Street's raping and pillaging of the world and the outsourcing of all possible jobs out of the USA and the EU. All of the money we need to rebuild our infrastructure and industrial base has gone to Wall Street. China will not need to use its rapidly growing navy to dominate the world; it will just buy us. We have sacrificed our freedom on the altars of deregulation and free trade.
